Session Still in Rock #2 : Mozes & the Firstborn
Session Still in Rock #2
As you know, Mozes & the Firstborn has been one of Still in Rock’s favorite bands from way back. We already interviewed them 4 years ago, and we met multiple times, creating some kind of well-displayed bromance – although on an inferior level than the Obama and Biden one. You also know that Mozes & the Firstborn were playing in Paris on November 26th at La Mécanique Ondulatoire. Still in Rock was one of the co-organizers…
Yes, but there wasn’t only that. I had indeed asked the band to arrive in Paris a couple of hours earlier, which they did around 2pm, in a van that would make the bands from the Californian scene green with envy. We met at Dune, a restaurant run by the Motel team (aaaaah…), in front of Manuel Valls’ home, who we saw leaving his car 5 minutes before Mozes did the same. We brought all the band’s instruments and sound gear down in the cellar of this restaurant, we proceeded to a pop-corn distribution, and were finally ready to record Still in Rock’s second session.
Unsurprisingly, Mozes was cheerful, happy to be here and ready to make the best video as possible. No need to discuss the content of the session – the video speaks for itself – that left us a few minutes to rush to the Mécanique Ondulatoire to drop off all the band’s gear once again. A couple of minutes after that, we were at the pizza place to talk about how the Dutch cuisine relies way too much on potatoes. That was fun, what a perfect day!
