Canshaker Pi
ENI thought that Okay Decay would be released for 31 March 2020! Should I’d realized that it was due at the end of January, I would have talked about it much earlier. The band first two albums easily qualified among the best LPs of the last decade (ranking). With this third attempt, Canshaker Pi moves away from the garage-noisy sound of its first love, in favor of well-crafted pop music. If the resemblances with Pavement remain, this LP is its Terror Twilight. There are some temporary excitements (listen to “Bandini“), and on the whole, despite the fact that this album is a bit less efficient than the two previous ones, but it could well announce a new artistic direction that will have the merit of proposing something new, less nineties, more 2020s.
