ENJim Shorts will release his latest album on September 18th. It will be called Late To The Feast, and that day, I’ll be joyful and… sad. I ranked the band’s previous essay at the gates of the top 30 albums of the 2010s (ranking), and “Open Arms of a Canyon” in the top 20 songs (ranking). I have the highest regard for Jim Shorts, which I described as the child of Built to Spill and a slacker (here). But now is a time for a celebration! I’m very happy indeed to release the band’s latest single, “Angel Songs,” in world premiere. True to itself (i.e., excellent), Jim Shorts takes the nostalgia of the 90s and puts it at the service of pop melodies and realistic lyrics. Jim, I will continue to embrace dualism with you for a long time, as you requested in the aforementioned title.
FRLe 18 septembre prochain, Jim Shorts fera paraître son dernier album, Late To The Feast.
