Ero Guro
ENI don’t know if this album was released in December 2020 or January 2021. The coordination between the different labels isn’t exactly clear. What I do know, however, is that Yig Dang is a huge bar of hardcore punk dynamite that has just knocked out the European scene. Ero Guro did not forget its proto-punk with its D.I.Y, lo-fi, angry, and almost gore aesthetic. The clapping at the end of “Wanna Live,” the almost military-zombified aspect of “Christian Meth,” or the Kim Fowley mood of “High Life” are great examples of the band’s desire for the afterlife party. Yig Dang is a slasher who meets George A. Romero. There is fluorescent green blood and fountains of vomit (“Rational Cooping“). It spurts everywhere. We necessarily like it.
On aime forcément ça.
